Life is speeding up. And let’s face it-- we’re all getting a little stressed out. Even the most fashionably dressed rarely have the time or energy to put together a pristine outfit every single day. A lot of us have started prioritizing comfort over anything else when it comes to getting dressed in the morning.

Often it feels like the state of the world is already so uncomfortable on its own that the very last thing we need to be dealing with is a pair of stiff, scratchy jeans on top of it all. The adult world is coming up fast over the horizon and it can seem like a dark and confusing place. Anxiety these days is getting a lot more common and is becoming stronger, and our outfits are becoming increasingly more relaxed as a result.

Nonetheless, glamour isn’t dead. There’s something to be said for pairing the sweatpants that you once swore you’d never wear out in public with one of your most treasured designer pieces. Sometimes it’s the pieces that really shouldn’t work well together that end up being the most complementary. It’s the risk factor involved. An oversized sweatshirt over a dainty slip skirt? Amazing. Add a thrifted Louis Vuitton purse? You’re a street style icon. It could so easily go wrong but in most cases it goes so right.

The same can be said about our lives. Sometimes looking into the future may feel a lot like taking a blind leap of faith into the dark and it’s not until we get there that we realize things aren’t so bad after all. So in the meantime, wear what you want and don’t be afraid to do the unexpected. If you want to go out in the same clothes you slept in last night, then you have our support, but might we suggest adding a little Dior?
