A Magazine began in 2001 as Artemis, a feminist magazine named after the Olympian goddess of the hunt, the moon and chastity. After 10 years of serving its mostly female readership through art and literature, it was rebranded to just "A" and now covers all aspects of fashion, beauty and culture. The first issue of A Magazine was published in the fall of 2012.
